Summer - Day 16

By slightly over halfway through our 28 day plan, we had noticed definite changes in our habits. The daily cravings to dine out or pick up dessert had pretty much disappeared and we had developed a new repertoire of healthy snacks to reach for when we felt hungry between meals. We were definitely eating more vegetables and nuts than previously and virtually no processed or sweetened foods, with the possible exception of small amounts when dining out or as minor ingredients in recipes (e.g. soy sauce).

That night we had dinner out with a friend at Pestle Rock, a northern Thai restaurant in Ballard. Their dishes are made with plenty of fresh, local ingredients, making it easy to eat a meal that is both healthy and tasty.
