Dining Out - San Fermo

San Fermo in Ballard is an Italian restaurant with a focus on fresh, seasonal ingredients, so it was perfect for our healthy dining plans.

We started out with grilled garlic scapes as well as burrata with blistered shishito peppers. The garlic scapes were simple and delicious, with a pungent yet rich flavor. The burrata was our favorite dish of the two - the creaminess of the burrata and spice of the shishito peppers were brought together perfectly with just a touch of honey drizzled over the dish.

For entrees, I enjoyed the roasted pheasant, which was served on an arugula-cherry salad, and my husband enjoyed the cioppino which had the tasty addition of smoked trout that night.
