Grilled New York Steak with Portabello Mushrooms and Asparagus

If you're going to eat low carb, you might as well treat yourself! Grilled steak with a side of portabello mushrooms and asparagus makes an indulgent dinner that's perfect for summer.

Grilled NY steak with portabello mushrooms and asparagus

Grilled portabello mushrooms Grilled asparagus Sparkling water with lime*

Makes 4 servings

1-1/2 lbs NY Steak
1 tbsp Montreal steak seasoning
1 lb Portabello mushrooms
1 bunch asparagus
Olive oil, salt and pepper

Preparation:

  1. Heat grill to 400 degrees.
  2. While grill heats, trim bottoms from asparagus and slice portabello mushrooms into 1/2 inch thick slices. Lightly coat asparagus and mushrooms with olive oil and season with salt and pepper.
  3. Grill steak for about 5 minutes per side or until desired doneness is reached.
  4. Add mushrooms and asparagus to grill at the same time as steak, grilling until softened and lightly charred.
